In memory of Bryn Owen for Cancer Research UK

Maxine Owen 22nd December 2019

Story

Bryn was never a fan of flowers and doesn't want any at his funeral so if you did want to contribute, he is asking for donations in his memory to either Cancer Research UK (to finally kick cancer's arse) or to Sue Ryder St. John's hospice.

He fought incredibly hard for so long and always made sure that everyone else was okay. He was such a strong, optimistic guy with such hope and a real zest for making the most of our lives together.

Bryn was finally diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma (bone cancer) in October 2016 after two years of agonising shoulder pain. He had two surgeries, radiotherapy and too many chemotherapy treatments to count in the three years he had it. Whatever treatment option they offered, Bryn readily accepted to continue his fight.

Unfortunately, they ran out of options in the end. Bryn hoped that one day there would be a cure for cancer so that people don't have to go through what he did. With your help, I hope they'll get a little bit closer.

Thank you.

Maxine
