This Tribute is supporting Cancer Research UK and Sue Ryder St. John's in Moggerhanger. Instead of flowers at his funeral, Bryn asked for donations to these charities via JustGiving and raised a combined total of £3,832 (plus GiftAid) which is absolutely staggering and I know that he would be so grateful that he made a difference. In his memory, I intend to do one fundraising event each year to raise money for both of these worthy charities. If you are able to donate, it would be much appreciated. Bryn spent over three years travelling to UCLH and the Macmillan Cancer Centre in London to receive countless treatments of chemotherapy as well as radiotherapy and two surgeries. They did everything they could for him but unfortunately, they ran out of options. Bryn wanted to help find a cure for this cruel disease and would always give extra blood samples etc to help them in their research to find a cure quicker. Everything that was thrown at him he took in his stride, hoping it would be the one that would work. With your help, I am hoping that we can get closer to finding a cure and help save many lives. On his last day, Bryn was at Sue Ryder St. John's hospice in Moggerhanger. I will never forget the care shown to Bryn and how they treated him with the utmost respect and dignity. They asked about him and his life and made sure his visitors were looked after too. They only receive 60% of their funding from the government and have to raise the rest themselves. Their staff show such compassion to those in their care so, with your help, I hope to help them to continue with the amazing work they do.
